SOME HELPFUL INFORMATION

Intended Use

GOOSYNN wheels should always be used according to their intended application. Road wheels are designed for road cycling and racing applications and recommended for use on paved roads. Our Gravel wheels are designed for riding or racing on off-road gravel surfaces. GOOSYNN Mountain Bike wheels are designed for off-road trail riding. Do not exceed the limits of the wheels as listed in the wheel specifications. If you are unsure of the limits of your particular wheelset, please contact your GOOSYNN retailer.

Warranty

GOOSYNN stands behind the quality of its products. Your wheels are covered by a 5 years limited warranty (1 year warranty for bearings.) from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials of craftsmanship.

Warranty Exclusions

    • Normal wear and tear
    • Damage caused by improper installation, accidents, or neglect.
    • Modifications or alterations made after purchase.
    • Use outside of intended conditions.

Assembly

This manual is not intended as a comprehensive assembly guide. If you are unsure, please consult your local trained professional bike mechanic on the installation of these wheels. These wheels should be installed in the same manner as any other high-end road bike wheelset, with the following points of note:

  • Be careful not to damage the spokes with sharp objects or corrosive liquids
  • Do not use excessive force when installing the tires
  • Ideally do not use tire levers when installing. If absolutely necessary, use soft plastic tire levers and do not use excessive force.

Before Riding

Inspect the wheels:

  • Check for cracks, dents or unusual wear to the wheels.
  • Ensure the rims are true to within 1mm and all spokes are evenly tensioned.
  • Confirm the hub spins freely and smoothly.
  • Check the thru-axles are tightened to manufacturer’s torque specifications.
  • Check the spokes for damage such as excessive fraying

Maintenance & Care

Carbon wheels may be damaged by improper storage. Do not hang your bike by the wheels while displaying or storing the bicycle. Take care when attaching the bicycle to a car rack that clamps the bicycle by the wheels. Improper use may result in damage to the wheels. Inspect the wheels for damage before and after every ride. If damage is found do not ride the wheels under any circumstances and contact your GOOSYNN retailer immediately. Take extra care inspecting the wheels after any crash or accident.

Wheels must be cleaned frequently with mild soapy water and a clean soft towel or sponge. Do not use solvents to clean your wheelset. (Including acetone, mineral spirits, etc.)

If using the wheels in a tubeless setup, regularly inspect the amount of sealant inside as well as its viscosity. We recommend inspecting once every 2-3 months, and a complete replacement of sealant once per year (or sooner if the sealant manufacturer recommends.)

Hubs must be maintained to ensure ongoing performance, reliability and safety. We recommend at least once per year or more if the wheels are used frequently in harsh conditions (heavy rain, mud, salty roads, etc.) Our hub internals should be familiar to any trained bicycle mechanic. Always ensure the hub internals are properly lubricated and avoid washing the wheels with high-pressure water to prevent contamination or loss of said lubricants.

Ti-Fi Titanium Fiber Spokes

Our spokes are robust and strong, however no spoke is indestructible. Keep your spokes clean and free from contamination. Clean with mild soapy water. Over time if repeatedly subject to harsh conditions it's normal for the colour of the spokes to change slightly. Our spokes hold their tension better than many polymer spokes. However, as with many wheels, over time spoke tension may be lost and the wheels go out of true. A small loss in spoke tension is normal and may not even be noticed by the rider. If the wheel goes out of true it can be re-trued easily by a GOOSYNN service center or any experienced wheel builder.
